VISITORS vs. VISITORS

The coming of the year 2008 was as usual celebrated with utmost preparation. As to how we celebrate the coming thereof depends upon the uniqueness of each race. Foods and beverages could not be avoided. Children come and go. Its either you visit your relatives or you will be the one receiving so many visitors. Its like you crave to have some vacation after a year of busy working schedules yet you’ll never really quite sure if it is the vacation you longed for anymore.

So, it is not undeniable that we are surrounded by people whom we consider part of our lives. Because of the distance that sets you apart, it is only at times of Christmas or New Year that they get to visit you. Receiving visitors is not that easy. Although they are your relatives, still they grew up differently and you have to adjust to what their purpose in visiting. Of course, there are a lot of things that you can talk about be it either negative or positive. One way or the other, you get the chance to laugh about it. On the other hand, you will be surprised of how time passes by for you can already see children of your cousins roaming around your house when before it was you who were at that stage that is playing around with them (cousins).

What is more interesting in times like these is when one group of visitors comes and upon their departure another group will arrive. It may be said that it is lucky for the host family to be visited by friends and relatives but when they come subsequently, it would be so tiring for the former. However, despite this fact, the host family has to prepare every need that the guests would require. This is what is known as hospitality. Whatever may be lacking in your house, you have to find ways to satisfy your visitors. They seldom come and visit you so you must make sure that they are well-entertained and taken cared of. No matter how tired are you it pays to be visited. This is a fact of life that every person from all over the world encounters. It only shows that you are loved by these people that they are willing to spend their time to travel from one place to another to reach you; they’ve given an effort for the only purpose of visiting you and your family. This reason alone suffices to give them the service they deserve while they are at your house as visitors. Hail to our visitors!

Happy new year to all!
