A gossip means an idle talk or rumor especially about the personal or private affairs of a person. A gossip may either be oral or written. Hhhhmmm, oral gossip is common but the written one is not. Either way it is not advisable to practice the same. It is better to think before you speak, right?

The word gossip is associated to women. Most women would not agree. However, it is what is usually happening. Some big quarrels start with small talks which passes from one person to another and then another. The person center of the gossip would feel differently towards the person spreading something about him or her. Its like you shared something personal to someone whom you thought is your friend but realized in the end that your secret is no longer a secret for everybody else surrounding you knows it already. This occurs mostly to women and rarely to men. May be the reason behind this is that men rarely speak what they really feel. They kept it within them or they just dont talk about it. While women talks a lot, dont we?

The good thing to do is to know how to keep a secret. Once a friend, shares something personal to you, it means he or she trusted you. And you must prove to him or her that you can be trusted otherwise, the friendship or any other relationship for that matter may be in jeopardy. Gossiping then should be avoided.
