BEING A MAN OF PRINCIPLE

Not all men are gifted with the talent to stand up and lead many others. Not all men can bravely face a situation suffice to sacrifice their own lives. Only a few are willing to gamble to fight for their rights. They fight what they believe in, which attitude must be emulated by others so that no one will step on you as a person.

The fact is, we live to survive. To survive we must fight for our rights. Our rights are what keeps us going on. If we live according to our rights and if we let others live the same way, there would be no war or worst suffering here in earth. It may be hard to accomplish this stage of life but still never impossible to do if all people cooperate. A Nobel Peace Prize is one showing that somehow there is a few who live to keep the world a better place to live in. A Nobel Peace Prize is awarded to one who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses (according to wikipedia). It is amazing to hear that a former president named Martti Ahtisaari won the prize.

This indeed is a living proof that there can be done to make our community a peaceful one. If Martti Ahtisaari can make a difference there is no reason why we as ordinary citizens cant. A small cooperation from each citizen of a country will result into a big one successful peace making effort, dont you think?
