CHILDREN OUTSIDE THE MALLS

It is undeniable that there exists the rich and the poor. This fact is indeed true even towards children. It hurts to see that at this young age children are already open to the idea of the disparity between the two. As between rich and poor children, no one is to be blame between them. The status of living these children are categorized into is just the reality of life.

What is unacceptable is that there is inaction on the part of some authorities or people concerned or even ordinary citizens to help these children who belonged to the lowest stage of the community. They are children who know nothing yet of what really is in-store for them. They should be taught and guided until they reach the age of majority or even after. Try to observe going to big malls. Manifest in the side walks are children either offering services to carry things for you or asking a coin from you. They are working at a young age not knowing the risks they are taking into. They are on the streets instead of staying at home doing their homeworks and be caressed with the presence of the mother and father and not to mention the safety that should be afforded to them. It is painful for the heart to see these children. Because you have limited resources and the fact that you cant even solve your own problems its just painful to the heart to see and realize that even you is one of those who are doing nothing.

DEALING WITH INCORRECT JUDGMENTS

Everyday we pass by different people. Some are approachable, others care less while a few seemed to be interesting. In the other side of the road lives simple people with simple needs and happiness. At the opposite end, are the elite who are sometimes, complicated to deal with, except of course those persons who, despite their financial capability remained humble.

With the avalanche of individuals we meet daily, we often see them only in their physically aspect. Because of our failure to get to know them, we tend to make an impression not good to the ear. We ignore the fact that the physical aspect of a person does not encompass his or her whole being. You may say that this matter is very common and that most already have an idea about it. Nevertheless, we don't apply what we know, do we? Its easy to say not to judge other persons by what they look and what they wear or how they bring themselves in the public. The fact is its what people often do. And that's the truth. We rarely avoid it. We fail to give the other person concerned the chance to show what he or she can do.

We are unique in our own way, so is commonly said. By that alone, every individual doesn't have the right or the authority to judge other people's personality. Be sociable and learn to be friendly with others. What you may see or think right now toward the other person may be the exact opposite of the whole being of the latter. Each of us deserves to live a life with dignity and respect. You may not like the other but that does not mean you have the right to put an impression different from that of the individual's true personality.

BOMBINGS IN ILIGAN CITY, PHILIPPINES

Iligan City is located in the Mindanao portion of the Philippines. This place was and still is known as the “Industrial City of the South” although lately it is commonly known as “The City of the Waterfalls.” What is striking news today (just this very minute while posting this topic) is the continuous bombings in different areas of the city. It is estimated that three bombs are going to blow different pension houses situated in different areas in the city. And surely two of them just blew a while ago.

Of course the inhabitants are alarmed of what happened. Injuries resulted due to the bombings. This may not be a big casualty but it should neither be taken for granted. Whoever planned this attack they are implying a message which the authorities should take into account. Government authorities should not wait for the worse to come.

What is going on with this city and more so what is going on with our surroundings? Definitely, this is not only happening in this city. Being in this situation and experiencing it just makes life worst. There are already problems that we encounter everyday. To handle this kind of problem is worst than ever. With it, it feels like you are no longer safe in the place you live in. How could life go on like this? Dealing life in this kind of situation makes you weak which is difficult for you must stay strong for your family.

PREDICTION: PHILIPPINE EARTHQUAKE

What is prediction? Is there any possibility that it will come true? Do you believe in predictions? Prediction is a prophecy. It is the capacity of one person to foretell the future. Whether or not it is a skill depends on how you perceive the act itself.

Recently, the Filipinos are in fear. What made them in this state of mind is the continuous forwarding of text messages admonishing them to be cautious this coming July 18, 2008 due to an earthquake which will hit the Philippines. Undoubtedly, those who have received this message would be shocked. But then learning that this is only a prediction would that make you feel safer?

The person who predicted the coming of this earthquake is Juseleeno Nobulega Daroose. He is the very person who predicted the following:

1. Princess Diana Assassination
2. The second attack of World Trade Center , it is 911
3. Sumatra Indonesia earthquake

The coming of this tragedy is not to be ignored. Prediction or not, there is still a possibility that this will happen in any other date with any other calamity or storm, at any other country. All we can do is to be prepared and hope that it will not result into a loss of lives.

AMERICAN IDOL MANIA

In the Philippines, the live telecast of American Idol is every Wednesday at 6 pm that is tomorrow. Even non-citizens of America are awaiting the new American Idol. The intensity is increasing. With three contestants left, it’s no denying that we are near at declaring the 2008 American Idol.

The Americans made the right decision to exclude Jason Castro from the final three. It’s clearly correct to say that Jason is cute and he does know how to sing; nevertheless, knowing how to sing is not enough. You must know how to deliver it the way the writer and the composer want to convey the same to their listeners. On the other hand, Jason is young and there are so many opportunities available to him. This is not just his time. And based on last week’s performance the top three deserve to be on the spot where they are standing. Syesha Mercado is a lucky girl. No one had ever expected her to be on the top three. On the contrary, she has the quality of voice that will surprise you. If she will choose the right song, there is a chance that she will be the next American Idol. So much so that most of us expects either of the David’s will make it to the top. David Cook is a matured singer. His song choices suit his voice and you can see how serious he is in becoming the next American Idol. As to the younger David, he has a lot of potentials. All he must prove now to the Americans is that he can sing just any other kind of song and not singing the same type of song now and then.

Tomorrow is one of the days that we must hold on. Take a deep breath. Who could be the next American Idol? It’s all in your hands!

Yes its true guys! The picture above is a pirated mp3. It is a crime to buy pirated stuffs. However, for persons who have limited financial capabilities it’s the only way to acquire such amazing gadgets. The problem is deep inside you there is already guilt in committing such an offense although luckily you are not caught. But then who cares? No one has been incarcerated for buying pirated cds, dvds and the like, so far as the author is concerned, hahaha!

Anyway, with the unstoppable increase of prices nowadays, people can’t help but to opt to buy things with lower prices. Yes, yes quality is important but that doesn’t matter anymore. Besides any property for that matter is subject to depreciation. And people? Oohh they change mind quite easily. Now they like this, tomorrow they throw the same. However, what makes the author post this article is the fact of being amazed. Why? The pirated mp3 in the picture is so small but with 1GB capacity. It has a height of one (1) inch and a width of almost two inches (2). Wow, isn’t that wonderful? It’s so small that you could not expect how useful it is. In such gadget you can load lots of songs and text files with which you can listen to music and read the files, respectively. In addition, you can save the lyrics of the song you like so that you can sing with it. Furthermore, you can record using the same or listen to songs in a particular radio station in your city. With such a minute thing it’s pretty hard to believe how it can do so many tasks.

But then it only shows how creative and imaginative people are. Never must we belittle an individual’s skills. How much more in the years to come? What lies ahead is yet to be determined. Nevertheless, it thrilled so many people on what more can technology offer in the future.

PRYING OTHERS

It cannot be denied that we are connected in some way. Even if we are not related with one another there is somehow or something that connects us. A complete stranger to us may somehow in the end is connected with us; we’ll never know. Life is diverse. With the billions of people all around the world, we never know who we will meet who in the long run may become a part of our life.


However, no matter every one seemed to be so related with us there must be a barrier between them and your personal life. Even persons close to our hearts limit themselves to take control of our personal lives. How much more other persons do? We live based on what we think is best for us not what others think about us. No one has a right to interfere with one’s own dealings with his life. What may be going on with your life now they are not part of it and they don’t have the right to pry to your personal circumstances or to your family for that matter. Even close relatives must restrict themselves in indulging to be involved in what transpired to you unless you needed their help. Unless you think that you need the presence or advises of other persons, your life is your life; you are the driver of your own path. Prying other’s lives is an implied act of circumventing the laws of living.

Let’s respect one another’s privacy. To live with harmony in this developing world self-respect and respect to others must be exercised. After all we live in a community where each of us is obligated to perform a task in accordance with the norms thereof.

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP

-------Raindrops have been falling for almost four consecutive days now. In a third world country like ours, this is one of the disasters that must be prevented. However, things like these are unavoidable. It will happen as it will. The rain causes the flood to occur. With flood, everything becomes worst. The flood may be due to less trees in the woods which can absorb heavy waters. It may be due also to clogged garbage. In life, these things happen at the moment you least expect it. Whatever may be the reasons for this calamity, action is needed.

-------As individuals, whether or not a public official, we must do our part. Lucky are those who were not hit by the calamity. But, how about those who has lost some of their loved ones due to such calamity? What can you do to help them? It doesn’t matter what kind of help you can offer. If you are capable financially, you can send cash. If you have used clothes, you can also send them to the areas affected. Anything is possible if you want to.

-------But if you don’t have any of those? How about offering some prayers? Prayer is considered as a strong source of strength. By prayers you can do the impossible. Take for instance the incident in another country where they prayed for rain to come. Their governor lead the prayer accompanied with his constituents. After three days, the rain did come. In this kind of situation, for those who are far away, all we can do is give our prayers. There are things in life that even a little prayer can do wonders.
